Types of Evidence as per QSO

Substantive evidence also called as direct evidence. it is evidence, which is sufficient to prove the guilt of the accused or sufficient to prove the right of the plaintiff..

e.g. Inculpatory judicial confession, primarily documents,  eye witnesses,


Circumstantial evidence also called as indirect evidence. it helps in drawing inference about a fact.

e.g. last seen evidence,, finger prints, DNA report, postmortem report.

Corroborated evidence this is called additional evidence, or supplementary evidence... it helps a fact that is already supported by some initial evidence.

e.g. accomplice/approver, child, lunatic, relative to relative, retracted confession, identification parade.
