Eye-witnesses produced by the prosecution lived eighty kilometers away from the scene of the crime, their stated reason for presence in the house of occurrence at the time of incident in issue had never been established through any independent evidence.

  Supreme Court of Pakistan held that the ocular account of the incident had been furnished by Zahoor Ahmad complainant (PW3), Ghulam Farid (PW6) and Manzoor Ahmed (PW7) who were all residents of some other houses and they were not inmates of the house wherein the occurrence had taken place and he said eye-witnesses were, thus, chance witnesses and not worthy of reliance .Reliance is also placed on the case of “Nasrullah alias Nasro v. The State”(2017 SCMR 724) wherein the august Supreme Court of Pakistan observed as under:- 

“In the case in hand the eye-witnesses produced by the prosecution lived eighty kilometers away from the scene of the crime, their stated reason for presence in the house of occurrence at the time of incident in issue had never been established through any independent evidence.”
