Order

Apprehending arrest at the hands of local police, petitioner, Usman Khan, seeks pre-arrest bail in case FIR No. 115 dated 9.03.2023, under Section 462-J, PPC registered with Police Station Bahadar Shah, District Sahiwal.

2. Precisely, case of the prosecution is that on 19.09.2022 at about 12:20 p.m checking team of MEPCO visited the house of petitioner and his electric meter was found damaged which was transmitted to M&T Office and in the report submitted by the said office, the meter was found tempered. Thereafter, the petitioner was issued detection bill worth Rs. 29,763/- , hence, this case.

3. At the very outset, learned Law Officer has apprised that he does not intend to oppose the instant bail petition as the petitioner has voluntarily paid the above said amount in the account of MEPCO.

4. Under the circumstances, without going into merits of the case, the instant petition is allowed and ad-interim pre-arrest bail already granted to the petitioner is hereby confirmed subject to his furnishing fresh bail bond in the sum of Rs. 1,00,000/ (Rupees one lac) with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of learned Trial Court.
