 Where the police authorities did not produce the record of the case before the bailiff to show connection of the detenue with commission of offence or to connect him with recoveries effected in connection with the same, then despite recording of his arrest in the record, habeas corpus petition was converted into bail petition and he was set at liberty to approach the court of competent jurisdiction for redress of his grievance.
