ضابطہ فوجداری 1898 کی دفعہ 44 کے مطابق زخمی حالت میں کسی بھی شخص کی عیادت کرنے والے میڈیکل آفیسر کی تمام ذمہ داریاں ہیں کہ وہ میڈیکو لیگل کیس کی آمد کے بارے میں پولیس کو آگاہ کرے اور اس سلسلے میں اس کی جانب سے کسی بھی ناکامی پر تعزیرات پاکستان کی دفعہ 187 یا 202 کے تحت مقدمہ چلایا جا سکتا ہے۔ 1860.
According to Section 44 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, the medical officer who will attend any person in injured condition is under all the obligations to inform about the arrival of medico legal case to the police and any failure on his part in this regard may lead to prosecution under section 187 or 202 of Pakistan Penal Code, 1860.
