پولیس آرڈر کے آرٹیکل 167 کے تحت ہر تھانے میں روزانہ ڈائری کا ایک رجسٹر رکھا جائے گا اور ضلع کے ڈسٹرکٹ اینڈ سیشن جج کو ایک منفرد اختیار دیا گیا ہے کہ وہ ایسی ڈائریاں طلب کریں اور ان کا معائنہ کریں جن میں پولیس کے کام کاج اور احتساب سے براہ راست تعلق رکھنے اور شہریوں کے بنیادی حقوق کے تحفظ کو یقینی بنانے کے ساتھ انتہائی اہم معلومات موجود ہوں۔ اس آرٹیکل کے تحت سیشن جج یا تو خود یا کسی بھی معلومات کی بنیاد پر، چاہے ایسی معلومات کا ذریعہ کچھ بھی ہو، معائنہ کے لئے ریکارڈ طلب کرسکتا ہے۔ جیسا کہ پولیس آرڈر 2002 کے آرٹیکل 167 (2) کے تحت ضروری ہے، ضلع کے ڈسٹرکٹ اینڈ سیشن جج کے دفتر کو بھی اسی آن لائن سسٹم سے منسلک کیا جانا چاہئے۔ ڈسٹرکٹ اینڈ سیشن جج کے دفتر کو آن لائن سسٹم سے جوڑنے سے جسمانی فاصلہ کم ہوگا اور ایک کلک پر روزانہ ڈائری رجسٹر کا معائنہ ممکن ہوگا۔ لہٰذا انسپکٹر جنرل آف پولیس پنجاب کو ہدایت جاری کی جاتی ہے کہ ڈپٹی انسپکٹر جنرل آف پولیس انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی پنجاب لاہور کی جانب سے جاری کردہ ایس او پیز کے مطابق پنجاب بھر کے تمام ڈسٹرکٹ اینڈ سیشن ججز تک آن لائن رسائی کو یقینی بنایا جائے۔ تین ماہ کی مدت کے اندر.

 Under Article 167 of the Police Order, a Register of daily diary shall be maintained at every Police Station and a unique power has been vested in the District & Sessions Judge of the District to call for and inspect such diaries which contained very important information with their direct nexus with the functioning and accountability of the Police and to ensure protection of fundamental rights of the citizens. Under this Article, the Sessions Judge either on his own or on any information, irrespective of the source of such information can call for the record for inspection. As required under Article 167(2) of the Police Orders 2002, the office of District & Sessions Judge of the District should also be linked with the same online system. Linking the office of the District & Sessions Judge with online system would reduce the physical distance and make the inspection of the daily diary register possible on one click. A direction is, therefore, issued to the Inspector General of Police Punjab, to ensure online access to all the District & Sessions Judges throughout the Punjab in line with the SOPs circulated by the Deputy Inspector General of Police Information Technology Punjab, Lahore, vide his office No.3516/PS-DIG-IT dated 01.03.2017, or any other latest digitalization method in future, within a period of three months.
